Can a pen and paper really change your life? We think so.
One of the most powerful habits a person can introduce is journaling. Not the “Dear Diary” type journaling that you might think of but a type of journaling called Brain Dumping.
Brain Dumping is a really simple exercise. All you have to do is:
- Grab a pen and paper
- Write down literally everything on your mind
Whether that be good, bad, positive or negative. It could be meaningful or meaningless, important or unimportant.
It could be to do with your personal life, business or otherwise.
You will more than likely fill a whole page, maybe more, with a chaotic mess. It will be confusing to read back and have no structure. This is good. This is Brain Dumping.
Fill the page with anything that’s in your head or that comes to mind. This could be:
- Thoughts
- Questions
- To-Do Lists
It can be anything about where you have been, where you are now and where you want to go.
